Enrolment and Registration 2010 - ALL students.
Registration and Orientation Day for LOCAL students. Enrolment and Registration day for ALL NEW students is Friday 12 February beginning at 9.15am in Room 4201 at BTI campus. The programme will commence with a welcome at 9.30am when you will be welcomed onto the campus and to BTI. Following this there will be a morning tea. The rest of the day will be devoted to completing enrolment, registration and finance processes, followed by other orientation activities. Please bring your own lunch. We anticipate that you will be finished for the day by 3.30 pm.
A compulsory orientation programme will run for the week Monday 15 February to Friday 19 February 2010. Further details regarding the orientation programme will be provided at registration. Please note: the programme will include some evening social activities.
Powhiri on the Wairoa Marae On the morning of Monday 15 February 2010 the BTI staff and student body will be welcomed at the Ngati Kahu Marae. Further details on registration day.
RETURNING Students The new students will be enrolling on Friday 12 February 2010, and as is customary, we will be welcoming them to the Institute and to the campus. You are invited to attend this time as hosts of the Institute; please be seated in the Lecture Theatre by 9.30am. Following the welcome there will be a morning tea. You are requested to bring a plate of something to eat and leave it in the Hub before the welcome. There will be some orientation activities during the week and it would be great if you could be involved as part of welcoming new students. Details to follow.
Returning students in the TEACHER EDUCATION programmes : Your official return day is Friday 5th February. The day will start with a welcome back time and programme meeting at 9am. Completion of registration, enrolment and finance will then happen for all those students who have not completed and returned all enrolment, registration and finance forms by the 29th January.

If you have been accepted into a programme and have not received your enrolment pack, please contact our programme administrators above as a matter of urgency.
If you started your programme in July 2009, you will have enrolled for 12 months and there is nothing more to do until July 2010.
Finance - ALL students You can make your payment in person, by cheque, credit card or bank transfer. Payments for your courses must be made prior to the start your course to enable course material to be given to you if you are an on-site student, or posted to you if you are a flexi-student.
The rest of the day will be taken up with programme and welcome activities.
Returning students in the COUNSELLING AND FAMILY STUDIES programmes Your official return day is Friday 19th February. The day will start with a welcome back time and programme meeting at 9am. Completion of registration, enrolment and finance processes will then happen for all those students who have not completed and returned all enrolment, registration and finance forms by the 12 January. It will make your day much easier, and ease congestion and pressure for staff, if you complete and return the necessary forms by the 12 January.
The rest of the day will be taken up with programme and welcome activities.
Start of classes Lectures normally start in the week after orientation for new students, and after enrolment and registration for returning students.

COUNSELLING AND FAMILY STUDIES PROGRAMMES:
NEW students: There will be a compulsory two week 'orientation to online work' programme starting on the 15 February.
CONTINUING students: Study guides and all other necessary study material will be posted to you for the start of papers on 1 March.
GRADUATE DIPLOMA OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
NEW & RETURNING students: Your year starts with an on-site intensive in the week beginning 8 March.

Accommodation The Institute does not provide hostel accommodation for students, but residents of Tauranga offer rental and/or board facilities. Please phone the BTI office if you require information about accommodation possibilities.
